The Power of Interdisciplinary Communication in a Busy Clinic

June 13, 2024, 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Eastern time

Early career attendings often miss the opportunity to experience interdisciplinary communication in a busy clinic setting during their residency training. A multidisciplinary panel will discuss the importance of collaboration between multidisciplinary team members for the success of treatment whether its adaptive radiotherapy, brachytherapy or a standard daily procedure. All members of the treatment team are invited to register for this free webinar.

Hear from an oncologist, medical physicist, medical dosimetrist and radiation therapist about:
  1. How to communicate in the adaptive radiotherapy world in different practice settings.
  2. How to communicate in same day sim-to-treat setting.
  3. The role of each team member to get the best possible outcomes.
  4. Lessons learned: How we can help improve resident education for better interdisciplinary communication.
  5. How to handle situations when things go wrong.
  6. Best communication tactics especially in a smaller practice setting.
Speakers:
Gary Walker, MD, MPH, Radiation Oncologist, Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center
Jennifer Dolan, PhD, Physicist, Cedars Sinai Health System
