Biographical Statement
I am a Dallas native and my family hails from Nigeria. I earned my undergraduate degree from Duke University where I studied biology and global health. I received my medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University. Prior to residency, I completed my Masters in Public Health at Harvard University where my work focused on the social and behavioral determinants of health, the widening inequality within the global health architecture and designing equitable responses in global health challenges. It is with great excitement that I am joining the ARRO Executive Committee as part of the Global Health subcommittee for the 2023-2025 term. My long-term goal for this position is to grow a committee that centers on projects with community-driven objectives, promotion of local researchers and practitioners as experts, and educational enrichment that is ethically sound and, most importantly, sustainable.
