Biographical Statement

I am originally from Owensboro, Kentucky, a small town in western Kentucky. I received my undergraduate degree in Biology at Centre College, a liberal arts school in Danville, Kentucky. I attended medical school at the University of Louisville where I served as Academic Officer, and later as Vice President, for my class. As a class leader, I got a behind-the-scenes look at curriculum development, and as a student, I saw the curriculum changes implemented in real time. It was then that I started appreciating the complexity and rewards of medical education. Since starting my residency, I have served on the ARRO Education Subcommittee, and I am a resident representative for ROECSG. During my second year, I helped create a statistics seminar series for residents. I can't wait to continue creating high-yield resources for my peers as a member of the ARRO Executive Committee.

Biographical Statement

I was raised in a suburb of Ibadan, Nigeria, Africa, and pursued my undergraduate studies at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery. Following this, I completed a year of internship at a state-owned government hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria, followed by a year of community service. During this period, I became deeply involved in public health advocacy, particularly focusing on patients coping with cancer diagnoses.

I furthered my clinical experience through a clinical observership and research position at NSIA Cancer Centre, LUTH. Growing up in a lower- to middle-income country (LMIC), I witnessed firsthand the disparities in health care and patient outcomes. This exposure ignited my passion for promoting health equity and improving accessibility to health care services.

I am privileged to have been selected to join the ARRO Executive Committee and co-lead the Global Health Subcommittee. My objective is to establish partnerships and enhance cancer care in LMICs, while also enriching the global perspective of residents in radiation oncology training through educational exchanges, training programs, health advocacy and research.

Beyond medicine, I cherish moments spent with family, exploring new dining experiences and contributing to bridal styling.
