RO Model Campaign Ads
On Thursday, September 9, ASTRO submitted comment letters to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in response to the 2022 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) proposed rule, as well as the needed changes to the Radiation Oncology Alternative Payment Model (RO Model). ASTRO drafted an executive summary of the two comment letters.
In addition to comment letters, ASTRO issued a press statement with comments from Board Chair Dr. Thomas Eichler and launched a digital online ad campaign to urge Congress and the Biden Administration to take action against these significant reductions. The ads will appear in the Washington, DC market directed to online readers of health care and legislative content.
