ASTRO 2024 will feature two outstanding workshops specifically designed for undergraduate, graduate and medical students interested in learning more about careers in the field of radiation oncology. ARRO Medical Student Workshop

The Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology (ARRO) are eager to present the inaugural 2024 Medical Student Workshop at the ASTRO 2024 Annual Meeting. The workshop has been designed in a sequential stepwise fashion. Starting with an introductory talk, followed by research while in medical school, residency interview season, internship, transitioning into radiation oncology and mentorship. Our interview season session will be comprised of program directors, chief residents and program administrators. This workshop is open to all medical students.

Aspiring Scientists and Physicians Program for Underrepresented Populations
Event Date/Time: Sunday, September 29, 2024 | 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time
Learn more about career pathways in radiation oncology at the 2024 Aspiring Scientists and Physicians Program. Through interactive panel discussions students will meet a diverse group of radiation oncology faculty, residency program directors, medical physicists, residents, and medical students on their career journey. This program is open to undergraduate students and graduate and medical students who are from communities underrepresented in medicine and science.
