CME
What is Continuing Medical Education (CME)?
CME is an educational tool designed to help keep physicians current with new technology and scientific advances and to continue efforts to increase accessibility to evolving evidence-based medicine. CME meets the Part 2: Lifelong Learning requirement of the ABR's Continuing Certification Program.
What is Self-Assessment CME (SA-CME)?
Self-Assessment CMEs are educational activities that utilize instruction and self-administered examination to improve skills, knowledge, patient care and/or practice performance. SA-CME meets the Part 2: Lifelong Learning requirement of the ABR's Continuing Certification Program, but effective 2024, "self-assessment" is achieved through Online Longitudinal Assessment (OLA) and is not required when obtaining CME.
