ASTRO webinars offer an opportunity for live engagement in both clinical and nonclinical topics. If you can't join live, they're also available onDemand. They are discounted or free for ASTRO members and many offer continuing medical education.

eContouring for Gynecologic  Cancer

This eContouring webinar will serve as a learning module for normal and target volume delineation of gynecologic patients requiring radiation therapy. The session will begin with an introduction on the general management of gynecologic cancers. This will be followed by contouring of endometrial, cervix, and vulvar cancers adhering to current consensus guidelines. Additionally, a case on high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy for cervix cancer will be included in this session to describe appropriate target volume delineation for intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy for locally advanced cervix cancer.

This webinar is free to ASTRO members-in-training and is sponsored by the ROI Juan A. del Regato Fund.  The Radiation Oncology Institute is ASTRO’s Research Foundation.

ASTRO ROCKS: Specific Aims

Join expert volunteers as they share how to write effective specific aims as you develop a grant proposal. After a general introduction, specifics will be presented for the fields of radiobiology, imaging, translational/bench research and clinical research.

eContouring

Choose from three formats:

Live Webinars
Along with the live online presentation, participants can contour practice cases prepared by the faculty using an online contouring platform and receive a metric score based on the accuracy of their contour(s) compared to the faculty.

During the live event, faculty will present a didactic background lecture followed by case/contour review and Q&A. Participants can access the presentation recording along with the practice cases until the activity expiration date to continue to practice contours and improve their score.

Webinars onDemand
These activities provide access to a recorded presentation which includes a didactic background lecture and case/contour review. Participants do not have access to the practice cases/online contouring platform for the cases covered in the presentation.

Case Libraries
Along with a recorded presentation, participants can contour practice cases prepared by the faculty using an online contouring platform and receive a metric score based on the accuracy of their contour(s) compared to the faculty.

In the recording, faculty present a didactic background lecture followed by case/contour review. Participants can access the presentation recording along with the practice cases until the activity expiration date to continue to practice contours and improve their score.


 

ASTRO ROCKS

These sessions provide practical knowledge regarding funding mechanisms and support for radiation oncology researchers, at all career stages, to develop successful research-oriented careers. Sessions include knowledge sharing from research funding administrators and/or experienced applicants/awardees.
