Continuing Education Credits

The ASTRO Annual Meeting gives you the opportunity to earn continuing education credits. Certificates of credit are only available to participants who have completed session evaluations in the Annual Meeting Portal. Certificates will reflect total credits as each session evaluation is completed.

  • The deadline for claiming MDCB and CAMPEP credits is November 4, 2024.
  • The deadline for claiming AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ is June 1, 2025.

Claim Credit / Session Evaluation Instructions

Use the steps below to access the evaluation and claim continuing education credits or download step-by-step instructions here.
  • Log in to the Annual Meeting Portal with the ASTRO credentials you used to register for the meeting or purchase the Annual Meeting onDemand in the ASTRO Academy.
    • Can't remember your password? Click the Forgot Password button below the login prompt.
  • In the left-hand navigation, click the "Evaluate/Claim Credit" link to get to the Credit/Evaluation dashboard.
  • In the Credit/Evaluation dashboard, scroll down and under Tasks select "Session Evaluations - Select Session and Evaluate" to select sessions. There may be multiple Session Evaluation options under Tasks depending on your registration.
  • Navigate to a session by expanding the day or time block, click the "Evaluate Session" button for the session, complete the evaluation (all required questions must be completed), and click the blue "Submit" button at the top or bottom. 
    • You can select more sessions to evaluate and/or click the blue "Submit to Complete" button at the top of the session selection page and follow the prompts to return to the Credit/Evaluation dashboard.
    • You can repeat this process to continue to evaluate sessions and claim credit until the credit claiming deadline.
  • Evaluated sessions will appear in the Selected Sessions section at the bottom of the Credit/Evaluation dashboard (below Tasks).
  • Once you have completed at least one session evaluation and clicked the "Submit to Complete" button at the top of the session selection page, you can access your certificate.
    • On the Credit/Evaluation dashboard, select the appropriate certificate (CME/CAMPEP/MDCB) link under Tasks to open it. From there, you can Email/Print/Save as PDF.
  • As you continue to complete session evaluations, the sessions and their corresponding credit amounts will be added to your certificate with a cumulative credit total.

Certificate of Attendance


Access your Certificate of Attendance. You will need to enter your meeting registration ID which can be found in your meeting registration confirmation email (or badge if you attended in person). 

Credit Tracker


The Annual Meeting Portal lists the credits available for each session. If you would like a printed copy of credits available, you can download the Annual Meeting Credit Tracker. This form is for your personal tracking purposes only and cannot be submitted to earn credit. To claim credits, you must complete the online evaluation.

Physicians
The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Live Meeting (In person): ASTRO designates this live course activity for a maximum of 36 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Live Meeting (Virtual): ASTRO designates this live course activity for a maximum of 35 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Meeting onDemand: ASTRO designates this enduring material activity for a maximum of 183.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CME credits must be claimed by June 1, 2025.

Physicists
This activity has been approved for a maximum of 35.24 Medical Physics Continuing Education Credits (MPCEC) by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs.

Physicist attendees will not receive certificates of credit from ASTRO. The names of physicist attendees will be sent to CAMPEP 45 days after the meeting. Any credits claimed after the evaluation deadline will not be submitted by ASTRO to CAMPEP.

CAMPEP credits will only be available for the in-person meeting in Washington, DC, and the live virtual meeting. Credits will not be available for sessions watched onDemand.

CAMPEP credits must be claimed by November 4, 2024.

Dosimetrists
The Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) has approved this activity for 35 MDCB credits.

Dosimetrist attendees will not receive certificates of credit from ASTRO. The names of dosimetrist attendees will be sent to MDCB 45 days after the meeting. Any credits claimed after the evaluation deadline will not be submitted by ASTRO to MDCB.

MDCB credits will only be available for the in-person meeting in Washington, DC. Credits will not be available for sessions watched onDemand or via the livestream.

MDCB credits must be claimed by November 4, 2024.

Nurses, Therapists and Other Professions
This activity is not approved for nursing and/or therapist CEUs. You may print a certificate of attendance by completing the meeting evaluation.

ASTRO is an accredited provider of continuing medical education. Since our accreditation is important to us, we plan activities that are compliant with the ACCME and the content or format of CME activities and related materials will promote improvements or quality in health care and not a specific proprietary business interest or commercial bias. Planning Committee members and speakers are required to disclose the existence of any financial or other relationship with the manufacturer(s) or any commercial product(s) or provider(s) of any commercial services discussed in an educational presentation.

Any conflicts of interest are resolved prior to participation. In addition to written disclosure, presenters will disclose any vested interest or their intention to discuss off-label use of pharmaceuticals or devices, if applicable, to the audience at the beginning of their presentation and in accordance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education standards and the Food and Drug Administration requirements.

In an effort to increase transparency and easy access to all disclosures, ASTRO's Faculty, Committee and Planner disclosure information will be available online for the 2024 Annual Meeting. In addition, disclosure slides will be shown at the beginning of each session and every presenter is also required to display their disclosure. Disclosure information will not be printed in paper versions of the meeting materials.
