This program will bring together interdisciplinary leading experts working toward a comprehensive approach to the complex disease of head and neck cancer. The program will foster a collaborative, multidisciplinary community whose goal is to provide quality patient care and improve patient outcomes, while also focusing on the prevention, treatment, reconstruction, rehabilitation and basic science related to or involved with the head and neck oncologic process. This program is designed to meet the needs of radiation, surgical and medical oncologists, residents in training, head and neck surgeons, nurses, scientists and other allied health professionals.

Multidisciplinary Symposium in Thoracic Cancer

The 2010 Chicago Multidisciplinary Symposium in Thoracic Oncology will offer valuable information on the interdisciplinary approach in the treatment of thoracic malignancies. Research shows that a combination of therapies can improve patient outcomes by reducing side effects and improving survival rates. Speakers will address a variety of strategies to treat lung and esophageal cancer, malignant mesothelioma and metastatic cancers of the chest. Recognized leaders in these areas will present the latest developments in basic and clinical research and examine new innovative treatments that could be beneficial to patients.
