ASTRO’s Regulatory Committee acts as a liaison between our members and managed care organizations by opening a line of communication to discuss and rectify any problems that a member may be experiencing. An example of a problem that could call for action by the committee is repeated denial of claims for a radiation therapy procedure, even when submitted correctly under CMS’ standards.
